Release The Grasp Of A Social Phobia Using Self-Hypnosis
Social phobia is an anxiety disorder in which a person is scared of being in a social setting. A person with social phobia suffers from unbearable anxiety that affects all aspects of their life.
People with social phobia are very self-conscious and worried about what others may think or say about them. They are usually afraid of speaking up, out of fear that they will be judged or criticized. Those with social phobia tend to look down on themselves or have negative feelings about themselves. They are worried about being seen by other people and find socializing to be quite terrifying.
A person with social anxiety may seem "shy," but in a phobia, this is taken to extremes. For instance, if you suffer from social phobia, you may hesitate to make a crucial call because you're anxious about talking on the telephone. You dial the number, but you're so nervous that you "freeze up" or forget what you were going to talk about. Although it can happen to everyone once in awhile, for someone with social phobia it may occur every time, until they find it impossible to make any phone calls.
Maybe it is the night before a big presentation at work and you find yourself in a panic. You dread the idea of being in front of a room with your supervisor and all your co-workers watching as you present a new idea or project. You can't help but feel very self-conscious and embarrassed. Even after the meeting, you continue overanalyzing everything you said and did. You fear that you embarrassed yourself in front of your colleagues by stuttering or saying something wrong.
Perhaps you would like to go to parties and make new friends, but you avoid socializing because you're anxious about meeting someone new. You find the crowds intimidating and the idea of meeting new people scares you. You worry about what you'll say, or that you'll get rejected. You might stay at home very often because you're too worried to go out. These are only a few examples of the way social phobias can influence our daily lives.
Social phobias are overblown fears that can prevent you from reaching your career goals or enjoying life. But even people who realize their fears are irrational may not be able to eliminate their phobia. People with social anxiety would like to be more outgoing and make new friends, but are too scared to do so. In spite of their conscious desires and best efforts, they cannot shake their fears because all phobias are rooted at the unconscious level of the mind. Ericksonian hypnosis therapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques are the most helpful phobia treatments because they work at this unconscious level.
It can be hard for those afflicted with social phobia to get help because they are reluctant to see a therapist or discuss their anxieties. This is why hypnotherapy programs are right for them. The programs foster a peaceful and confidence-boosting mind frame in a privacy, without being intimidating or overwhelming.
The first part of a proper phobia program is stress relief. Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool for eliminating your anxiety and tension. When you are stress free, hypnotic techniques will shape positive ideas in your unconscious mind and get rid of your social phobia. NLP techniques will relieve your fears by directly targeting the thought process that produces a phobia.
In traditional hypnosis therapy, specifically worded post-hypnotic suggestions are used to address each different phobia. Unfortunately, people often ignore being directly told what to think or do, so traditional hypnosis therapy is not always effective. A phobia requires the use of Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and NLP.
Ericksonian hypnotherapy techniques are more effective than traditional hypnosis therapy because they use suggestions that aren't apparent to the conscious mind, versus direct suggestions. These suggestions are placed in discussion, in the form of stories and metaphors, to convince the unconscious mind to follow a different line of thinking. For this reason, Ericksonian hypnotherapy is much more advanced than conventional hypnotic therapy and far more difficult for the unconscious mind to resist.
A program that includes Ericksonian hypnosis therapy and NLP techniques can treat social phobia and any other phobia, in any individual. This is because various techniques are used together to maximize their success rate. People are frequently amazed at the apparently miraculous results they can get through hypnosis therapy. Ericksonian hypnotherapy and NLP are great tools to help build your confidence and overcome social phobia so you can live your life to the fullest.
