Natural Skin Care for Scars and Wounds

by Abigail Mckenzee

Finding someone without some sort of scar is like finding a fly without its wings. Scars are just a part of life. Some marks don't require much to be covered up, while others aren't so easy to mask.

There are at least a dozen different types of skin care products that claim to help reduce stretch marks, surgery scars, or wounds scars. However, most of them seem very expensive and are not very effective.

You've probably experimented with different types of scar products with no real results, but don't let this discourage you. However, you can still find a great deal of comfort in a natural skin care cream that contains ingredients capable of "dissolving" scar tissue. It may seem a bit odd to think that a natural product could be more effective than a synthetic, traditional product, but bear with me.

Miracle Products from Nature

There are two types of natural ingredients that have been used consistently over time to cure skin problems and other ailments:

*Snail Serum or Helix Aspersa Muller extract

*and Rose hip oil

As a matter of fact, the use of snail serum, for example, can be traced as far back as Hippocrates. Both Hippocrates and his colleagues used snail serum to soften skin and as a Rosacea treatment.

Rose hip oil has also been used for centuries by indigenous tribes in the South of Chile. They've used rose hips to treat physical problems such as scurvy and kidney dysfunction, but have also used it as a moisturizer and to minimize stretch marks.

Scar Treatment

Snail serum became important to scar and wound healing about two decades ago when heliculture workers noticed that it helped reduce the size of lesions. It was soon apparent that this ingredient should become a part of every scar treatment and skin care product.

Helix Aspersa Muller extract is a glycoconjugates compound that consists of peptides, enzymes, co-enzymes, and other molecules. It helps correct cellular communication and reduces the formation of scar tissue in the skin. These glycoconjugates also help regulate cellular proliferation, reducing excessive inflammation.

When the serum is applied to the affected area, the glycoconjugates move towards the injury and begin breaking down the damaged cells with amino acids. The broken down cells are readily eliminated from the spot and replaced with healthy cells.

Rose hip seed oil is also a benefit for treatments that depend on stretch mark removal. Thanks to its rich composition, consisting of Vitamins A and C and essential fatty acids, this product works by accelerating the skin's cellular activity to improve skin renewal and cell regeneration.

Wound Healing

Both of these ingredients can speed up the healing process. They help accelerate the skin's natural renewal process by allowing the body to replace damaged cells with new ones. But, be warned, not all scars react alike. For example, rose hip oil and helix aspersa muller extract may not be as effective on keloid scar removal as they are on preventing their formation.

If you are sick and tired of trying to eliminate your scars with ineffective, synthetic creams, then you should try a natural scar treatment instead. BIOSKINCARE is one of the best skincare products that can help attenuate stretch marks and keloid scars.
